(3) Trustee Seats Open for 2015 Consolidated Election

DON'T FORGET: Election packets for (3) Trustee positions, to serve a 4-year term, are available in my office from 7am-1pm Mon-Fri, or I can meet you at the office at another time that is convenient for you.

The Consolidated Election is April 7, 2015, and the packets would be due back into my office between Monday, December 15th and Monday, December 22nd between 7am-5pm (closed for lunch 11:30am-12:30pm).

Only 43 signatures  of REGISTERED VOTERS required to submit candidate papers. Any questions, call Vickie Slavik at 267-2507, or look on-line at www.elections.il.gov

Inaugural K9 Walk

Coal Bucket Supper

Annual Coal Bucket Chili Supper at Trinity United Church of Christ at 311 E. Moses Avenue in Westville on Friday, October 24th from 4-7pm (prior to Westville/Georgetown-Ridge Farm coal bucket football game to be played AT GEORGETOWN). Donation: $6.00 adults and $3.00 children 3-11 years (under 3 free). Hot dogs available for $2.00. Carry-outs available

NOTICE OF SALE OF REAL ESTATE

 

The Village of Westville will offer for sale surplus real estate located within the Village of Westville, Vermilion County, Illinois: Parcel 1: 122 N. State St., a.k.a. “Senior Citizens Building”. Parcel 2: 121 N. State St., unimproved real estate a.k.a. “Norvilitis Building”, which is a 25ftx150ft gravel lot adjacent to the south side of a private building at 125 N. State St. Parcel 3: 127 N. State, unimproved real estate, a.k.a. “Batrich Building”, which is a 25ftx150ft gravel lot adjacent to the north side of a private building at 125 N. State St. Bidders must submit SEPARATE, SEALED envelopes clearly marked with Parcel # being bid on.  If a bid is being submitted for a combination of parcels, the bid itself should stipulate this intent. Submit to the Village of Westville, 201 N. State St., Westville, IL 61883 by Monday, October 6, 2014. All properties will be sold “as is” without any warranties and the Village reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids. Bids will be opened and the sale (or “no sale”) of abovementioned properties will be voted on at the Regular Meeting to be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 7pm. Successful bidder for each parcel shall pay the purchase price in either cash or certified funds in the total amount of the purchase price upon delivery of deed. Successful bidder shall, upon award of the sale, provide 10% of the sale price in cash or certified funds to the Village Clerk upon approval of said bid. Buyer shall pay all title insurance and recording costs with respect to the purchase of said real estate. All three parcels are currently exempt from general real estate taxes.
